Q: If we wanted to register both a returning team and an exhibition team, would it be $325 total?
A: Yes, for a returning team with exhibition team 250+75=$325.
Q: What about contribution to repositories? Will the exhibition team and the competition team be able to contribute to the same roster?
A: Both can contribute to the team repo, but normal repo deadlines/rules apply.
Q: Can the exhibition team have a full 12 members?
A: Officially there are 8 that can participate on the field, but can have observers / alternates.
Q: Is regionals held at Middlesex Community College again this year?
A: Yes, it will be at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, MA.
Q: What platform is used?
A: We tend to use the cloud. In the past, we have used AWS. It’s a unique environment each year. Past sample code from previous years is placed on our GitHub.
Q: What is the difference between joining choices?
A: If you are interested in going forward and it’s your first time, do the new team option. If you just want to participate and get exposure to the Qualifier, choose the exhibition team. Placement doesn’t matter with the exhibition team and there are fewer requirements. The exhibition team does not need to register with National CCDC.
Q: The exhibition team size limit is 8 people, but is it possible to have less? Is there a minimum?
A: There is no minimum requirement.
Q: Are any/all of the exhibition team students allowed to participate from home or alternative locations?
A: We will discuss and get back to you.
Q: New team orientation this year?
A: Ben would be willing to assist with new team orientation.
Q: Is there an AI policy?
A: No policy, but it falls under the use of software according with terms of service - teams need to apply for free enterprise use.
Q: How to connect?
A: Contact contact@neccdl.org with your school and coach/representative information as well as captain information. See neccdl.org/discord for information on how to join our Discord, and follow us on LinkedIn.
Q: Can part-time students compete?
A: If a student is interested in officially competing, they need to be either full-time or in their final semester (i.e. Spring 2026 is the semester in which they will graduate). If they want to participate as an exhibition team, that is allowed.
